Housekeeping Attendant (Part-Time)

As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guest accommodations.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, cottages, and public areas to the highest standards.
  • Ensure fresh linens, towels, and amenities are replenished.
  • Report any maintenance issues or guest requests promptly.
  • Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Guest Services Agent (Part-Time)

Be the friendly face that welcomes our guests and ensures a seamless stay.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests, handle check-ins and check-outs, and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, reservations, and local recommendations.
  • Manage phone calls, emails, and booking systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

Server/Bartender (Part-Time)

Deliver exceptional dining experiences with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities:

  • Take food and beverage orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, and other beverages.
  • Provide menu recommendations and create a warm, engaging atmosphere.

Groundskeeper (Part-Time)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform lawn care, landscaping, and general outdoor maintenance.

Boat Operator

(Tuesday Evening & Special Events)

The Boat Operator is responsible for the safe, smooth, and enjoyable operation of guest boat experiences on Falcon Lake. This includes overseeing boat safety, managing guest interactions, and ensuring all equipment is in excellent condition. The role is seasonal and part-time, operating primarily on Tuesdays, with the possibility of additional shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate motorized boats for hotel guests during scheduled excursions, rentals, or special events
  • Conduct safety briefings and ensure all guests follow safety protocols (life jackets, weight limits, etc.)
  • Inspect the boat before and after each use for maintenance or repair issues
  • Assist guests in boarding and disembarking from the boat
  • Maintain a friendly, welcoming, and professional atmosphere for all guests
  • Keep logs of trips, fuel usage, and any incidents
  • Report any mechanical issues or guest concerns to management promptly
  • Perform light cleaning and upkeep of the boat between uses
  • Ensure compliance with all local and federal boating laws and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) or equivalent certification
  • Previous boating experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions

CPR/First Aid certification is an asset

Cook

The Hotel at Falcon Lake is seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in delivering high-quality dishes, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. You will play a key role in food preparation, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Ensure food quality, portion control, and consistency in every dish.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist in receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
  • Work efficiently during high-volume service periods, maintaining speed and accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food.
  • Assist with menu development, specials, and new dish ideas when required.
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Food & Beverage Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous kitchen experience preferred, but willing to train passionate and hardworking individuals.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, handling, and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Culinary training or certification is an asset but not required.

 

Maintenance Technician

(Full Time / Part Time / On Call)

The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of repair and maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and overall condition of hotel buildings, guest rooms, and facilities. This role is essential in delivering a high-quality guest experience through prompt response to maintenance issues and proactive property upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of hotel facilities, equipment, guest rooms, and common areas
  • Respond promptly to guest service calls and maintenance requests (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
  • Complete repair work orders accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and workshops
  • Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal or outdoor landscaping
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Coordinate with contractors or vendors when needed for specialized repairs
  • Provide after-hours emergency maintenance support when on call
  • Assist in setting up for events, moving equipment/furniture as needed

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in general maintenance or a skilled trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing, and working in various conditions
  • Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Certification in trades or building systems (an asset)
